1. Why do you want to major in communication? (this should be a concise summary of part of your first paper – one paragraph maximum)

        What attracts you to this field?
        What is it about the communication majors that interest you?
        What skills can you develop from this major?
        Do you have special skills/abilities that will support this decision?
        Have you had any past experience in this area?
        What would be your perfect job? Write it down and fill in plenty of details.
        What would you be doing? What skills would you use most?
        What people would you be interacting with?
        How much money would you make? What kind of hours would you work?

2. What concentration/major do you plan to pursue?
3. What do you like about this concentration/major? What issues in this field interest you? Will you study things that interest you?
4. What types of jobs could you do when you graduate? Does this major prepare you for your "dream job"? (remember your first paper?)
5. How will you "support" this major? (e.g. second majors, minors, honors, study abroad, internships)
6. When a potential employer asks you about your degree, what skills/traits can you itemize that you learned as a student in Liberal Arts? (check your second paper)
7. How/Where will you gather additional information about your intended field (be specific with names, titles, etc.)?
