Will spelling and grammar count?
In a college classroom asking if spelling and grammar will count, is like one of the basketball players asking their coach "will dribbling count?"Clear writing—concise sentences, correct spelling, and appropriate word selection—is essential.
However, I am primarily looking for writing which use unified and coherent,, good sentence structure, and good paragraph structure. One way to accomplish all of these goals is to have paragraphs which ask a What, Why or How question. Good content but a poorly written or organize paper will likely earn a grade no higher than a C. In my experience, students who do not write well seldom have “good” content. The poorly written paper with weak content is likely to earn a failing score.
